BROOKLET – The Dawson County High Track & Field team carried their success from the region track meet into the sectionals this weekend at SE Bulloch High. Nineteen Tiger athletes will advance to the 2017 Track & Field Championships May 11-13 in Albany. Dawson also set a new school record in the process.

Advancing for the girls will be:

  • Abby Cotter 4×400 relay
  • Alyssa Garcia Pole Vault, 4×400 relay
  • Anna Lowe Shotput
  • Avery Young: 400m & 4×400 relay
  • Baily Cotter 800m
  • Bri Ray Pole Vault, 4×400 relay
  • Jenna LeCours 3200m
  • Marley Hamby 1600m, 3200m, 4×400 relay
  • Sydney McGinnis 4×400 relay

Advancing for the boys will be:

  • Corey Hammond 4×400 relay
  • Noah Brock4x400 relay
  • Rusty Chester 4×400 relay
  • Cooper Freeman 4×400 relay
  • Jacob Posten 800m, 1600m , 4×400 relay
  • Chris Shelp 1600m
  • Cody Wood 3200m
  • Vaughn Clark High Jump
  • Chris Rodriguez 4×400 relay
